Newegg’s PC builder will offer a “bigger and better” option for building your own PCs, it has announced.
The company said it will offer builders access to a wider range of build options, from “micro ATX” models that can be scaled down to small form factors, to bigger, “world-class” PCs that can accommodate up to 4TB of RAM.
A build will also be made of components from multiple manufacturers, from motherboard to graphics cards, in addition to the standard components.
Newegg also said it would offer new build templates for developers to make the process easier, and a new tool called Build Builder will help developers create a custom PC for a particular build.
The PC builder announced that it had been working on a new build feature, which it calls Build Builder, since February, and said it had started testing the feature this week.
“Building is an art, and it is something we have been working to improve and enhance for years, but building PCs with great build quality has never been easier,” the company said in a blog post.
“Build Builder makes it easier to customize your PC for the right build, build environment, and build.”
Newegg has been building a new PC builder in-house for about a year, and has released more than 100 PC builds in the past.
It said it has built more than 1,000 new PC builds, and will continue to build PC builds for PC manufacturers, retailers and other customers.
Newbuild’s focus on PC builds will include PC gaming, where PC builders can take their builds and run them on PC gaming PCs.
Build Builder has been in beta since last year, but the company is aiming for “major release” this year.
